A neighbor first

Ryan has called Philadelphia home for almost 20 years. He has lived just outside Rittenhouse on Pine Street, up in Fairmount near the Art Museum, spent years around Fishtown, and for the past seven and a half years has lived in East Passyunk Crossing, right by Passyunk Square. He knows these neighborhoods the way a neighbor does: by walking them, eating in them, and watching them change.

Before real estate

Ryan grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT, and he built his first career at Dow Chemical, Biocoat and Entegris.

Working every day with people in very different roles taught him that no two people need the same explanation, and no two clients need the same thing. After years inside large organizations, he wanted to be part of a family, not a cog in a 10,000 person company. That is what brought him to Finca Realty.

How he works

Ryan does not bring a hard edge to the table. “I want to partner with people,” he says. He asks the questions others skip, explains each step in plain language, and treats every client with the same care, whatever the price of the home.

“A good thing doesn’t have to be big. It can be big to the client.”
